Using Scent as a Memory Aid

A company has come out with a scented plastic bracelet to use as a memory aid during tests. The idea is that since scent is so closely tied to memory, the student wears and smells the bracelet while studying and then again when taking the test. The scent helps him recall the material and ace the exam. They come in spearmint, peppermint and lavender. Mint has been shown to increase students' alertness and performance and lavender calms test jitters. Brilliant!
